Puto Leche
Puto are a steamed cake – similar to a cup cake – that are sweet with a firm texture. They can be flavoured (such as puto ube) – or stuffed (like puto pao).
The ‘leche’ comes from leche flan – a filipino version of creme caramel (or creme catalan).
They contain pork fat, milk, eggs, wheat, and soya.
